THE QUEEN CITY BIG BAND AND JENNIFER NEAL was formed in 1979. Consisting of 20 musicians and vocalists, the band exists to develop and train the young jazz musicians of Auckland. With over 1000 titles in an extensive library of music, Queen City Big Band presents swing music from the stars of the big band era like Duke Ellington, Glen Millar and Count Basie, right through to music composed by contemporary jazz artists such as Tom Kubis, Bob Florence, Gordon Goodwin as well as R&B, rock n roll and pop music.
